I quickly closed the door behind us and gave her a few seconds to take in her surroundings. It looked like they weren’t all that busy tonight…which worked out in my favor for sure. Guiding her over to the waiter standing off to the side, I simply held up two fingers and watched him take two menus before motioning for us to follow him. I happily pulled out her chair for her before helping push it back to the table. Quickly taking my own seat, I listened as he asked us what we would like to drink. “Tea will be fine for me.”
She puffed out her cheeks in thought and then looked up, “water for me.” She flashed a smiled at him and then looked back to you while the waiter walked off. “This place is nice… and quiet.” She laughed lightly, “quiet is definitely good when we are together.”
